Doula Bean’s Childbirth Prep

This is a general overview of the entire process of labor, childbirth and postpartum care. This class leads a series of 5 in total breaking down the stages and phases of childbirth and more.

Labor Stage 1 "I GOTTA GET TO 10"

This class is 1.5-2hrs long. This is where we discuss cervical dilation and effacement (getting to 10cm), laboring positions, non-pharmacological methods of laboring, pharmacological methods, forms of inductions (pro's and cons) and birthing plans.

LABOR STAGE 2 (YOU WANT ME TO DO WHAT?)

LABOR STAGE 2 BETTER KNOWN AS THE PUSHING PHASE. IN THIS LESSON WE WILL DISCUSS HOW TO PUSH, PUSHING POSITIONS WITH AND WITHOUT AN EPIDURAL AND MUCH MORE.

LABOR STAGE 3 (THAT WASN'T TO BAD)

LABOR STAGE 3 IS WHEN AFTER BABY IS BORN. THIS IS WHEN THE PLACENTA IS BIRTHED AND YOU MEET YOUR BABY. THIS IS WHERE WE DISCUSS SKIN TO SKIN, LACATION, YOUR POSTPARTUM CARE WHILE IN THE HOSPITAL AND MORE.

STAGE 4 (NEW BABY WHO DIS)

THIS IS THE POSTPARTUM STAGE AND DNEW LIFE ADJUSTING TO LIFE WITH A NEW BABY. WE WILL DISCUSS NEWBORN CARE, BABY BLUES, POSTPARTUM DEPRESSION (BOTH PARENTS CAN BE AFFECTED), SIBLINGS AND MORE. CLASS IS 2-3 HRS.

What Did I Get Myself Into! (Pregnancy Trimester 1)

The first trimester is the first 12 weeks of the pregnancy, and it is a crucial time for fetal development. In this class we will discuss what happens to your body, how your baby should be developing, nutrition, exercise and more for a healthy pregnancy.

Oh There’s My Bump (Pregnancy Trimester 2)

Weeks 14–27 are the second trimester. The fetus goes through many changes during this time, growing to be around 1 foot long and weighing 1.5 pounds. In this class we will discuss what happens to your body, how your baby should be developing, nutrition, exercise and more for a healthy pregnancy. We will also discuss pregnancy complications.

It’s Almost Over! (Pregnancy Trimester 3)

During the third trimester, your fetus continues to grow in size and weight. The lungs are still maturing, and the fetus begins to position itself head down. By the end of the third trimester, the fetus is about 19 to 21 inches long and weighs, on average, 6 to 9 pounds. In this class we will discuss what happens to your body, how your baby should be developing, nutrition, exercise and more for a healthy pregnancy. We will also talk about preparing for labor.
